LMS accessibility training

This small Blackboard classroom, used for a face-to-face accessibility training course, demonstrates how faculty can make their Blackboard classes more accessible.

This short Blackboard course, designed in CourseSites, demonstrates how you can make your course more ADA compliant.

Like every other instructional designer on the planet, I’m constantly working to make my class materials as accessible as possible.  Luckily I get to use my hard-won knowledge to help faculty make their courses more accessible, too.  This CourseSites class has examples of good and bad accessibility practices, and tips on how to make your content accessible.  Since this short 1 hour class was intended to be an awareness session (not a training session) you won’t find detailed instructions.  We encouraged faculty to contact our department after the presentation for more in-depth assistance.

If you’d like to see the class, log into the original CourseSites (I need to migrate!) using the ID SuperStudent and the password section508.
